ZAA'N formulas are a cocktail of peptides and true Persian botanicals — saffron, galbanum, yarrow, rose. Real plants mean real plants: a few people are sensitive to one of them, the way some people can't eat strawberries, sneeze at a friend's perfectly lovely cat, or itch in a wool sweater everyone else finds soft. The plant isn't the problem; the match is. That's what patch testing is for: dab a little on the inner forearm, wait 24 hours, then begin.
NĀR serum and midday sun do not mix. Apply in the evening, or in the morning only under sunscreen.

NAAR Reju-Rouge Calming Clarifying Serum is the clear-skin serum: for acne-prone and blemish-prone skin, an oily T-zone, and skin that flushes red — especially adult skin that is oily, reactive and mature at the same time.

Why pomegranate, barberry and the red botanicals
NAAR is our red collection — anaar is Persian for pomegranate — and every botanical in it was chosen for skin that breaks out, flushes or feels oily and stressed. Pomegranate peel and fruit are rich in punicalagins and ellagic acid, antioxidants that help protect the look of skin and support a clearer, more even appearance. Barberry (zereshk) and cornelian cherry are the Persian red berries prized for their clarifying, tightening feel. Calendula, chamomile, bisabolol and rose petal are there for one reason: to visibly calm the look of redness. And like every ZAA'N Beauty formula, the botanicals are our own small-batch extracts, not bought-in powders.
Modern actives do the rest: niacinamide and zinc PCA help balance the look of oil and refine the look of pores, licorice root supports a more even tone where past blemishes left marks, and beta-glucan, panthenol and hyaluronic acid keep skin hydrated — because blemish-prone skin that is dried out only produces more oil.
Texture
A lightweight gel-serum with soft red jojoba beads suspended inside. The beads melt as you massage the serum in, leaving a fresh, elegant finish with no stickiness or greasy residue.
How to use
A small amount on gently cleansed skin, morning and night. No harsh soap or scrubbing before it — stripped skin reacts to everything. In the morning, follow with sunscreen. Pairs with NAAR Crème. Patch test before first use.
NAAR or SOHA? NAAR is for blemishes, oil and redness. If your concern is dullness, dark spots or fine lines, choose SOHA. Many people use both: NAAR first, SOHA over it.
